Childhood
I saw her
she didn't see me
tripping along and
bumping into carelessness
A glance up here
and there and now
and then a
sheepish smile
that says she knows
she didn't know you're there
Windplayed fringe and
skip-stepped gait
continue interupted
not inhibited
And into sunlight
saunter down the street
an image of the childhood
deep inside
we'll never see
End
Childhood
